DEAR PARENTS

That was touch and go for this year's Kiwi Cricket competition.  I thought we were going to miss it for another year because of the weather.  Maybe the Waiuku Schools should reschedule the cricket dates into our 'summer time' from now on.

'FIRE & QUAKE' SAFETY SHOW

The children were treated to a very entertaining and educational presentation by 'Pippa' about how to be safe and react when there is an earthquake or a fire.

FIRST AID
As a follow-up to the above presentation, Gayle Oswald from the Fire Force First Response team is going to be working with each of our teachers and their classes on a 'First Aid' unit of work later this term.

Teachers and support staff are also undertaking a refresher course in the near future to update their First Aid certificates.

SHOES – LOST AROUND SCHOOL

Brand new HEELY ROLLER SHOES belonged to Hamish Simpson in Room 6 have disappeared from the School Pavilion on Tuesday.  Please have a look at home, children at the end of the day pack their school bags in a hurried way and they may have taken them home by mistake.  If so, pop them into the school office next week.  Hamish would be very happy for their return.
