SCHOOL WORMERY
The school's wormery was established in 2002 as the next step on our way to becoming an eco-friendly school.
All food scraps and paper towels are collected daily from classrooms and the staffroom by monitors and placed in our wormery to feed the thousands and thousands of Tiger Worms that live there.
When the worms have done their job it is then time for action.
Just before the Easter Auction and Calf Club each year the wormery monitors have a lot of fun draining off the liquid from the bottom of the wormery which is diluted with water and bottled in 2 litre containers. Labels are attached and the 'Wormaweez' is ready for sale.
