Diorama Unveiling On The Peninsula
Several students from Awhitu District School were among distinguished guests and locals at the unveiling of the first two of several historic dioramas to be erected on the Awhitu Peninsula. Mayor Len Brown invited the children to assist him in the official ceremonies by cutting the ribbons, firstly at Matakawau Point and later at Waimatuku (Hamilton’s Gap).
