Notice re: Morning & Afternoon Bus Runs - Awhitu District School
15 Mar 2024

Kia Ora to our School Bus Families

From time to time, the school bus, for whatever reason, is sometimes late. The school isn't always informed of this from the bus company, and we don't know it's running late until parents phone us. Thank you for doing this, as then we can let everyone know.

I would just like to let everyone know that I have contacted the bus company and have asked that as soon as they know of any delays, to please communicate that with the school. Below is their reply in regards to the late bus on Monday.

' I understand the importance of communication on time when there was any unforeseen situation were accrued, moreover on that day when I came to know that driver had a trouble with founding bus key, I was also stuck with another broken-down situation with other school bus. I apologize that not informed Awhitu school, but I did inform other connecting Waipipi school regarding lateness. Sorry for the inconvenience I will better communicate with school next time if any kind of circumstances.'

Also, sometimes the bus that brings our Yr 7/8 students back from Technology lessons at View Road School every alternate Friday, can be running a little late.

We have been informed that repairs to the slips along Awhitu Road will begin in a couple of months time. This may also result in delays to the buses. We will keep you updated as these repairs progress.

Thanks for your understanding.
